Maybe because you catch my attention when I gaze at you
Or maybe because of the grace with which you walk and move
Or maybe of the eloquence with which you speak
Or the wisdom you Judge with
The Ideas that flows from you

Maybe of the perspective from which you view the world
Or just from the paradigm and mindset that governs your entire way of life
Or from the training and up bringing you've had
Or from your entire background which yet had failed to put your back on the ground
Or of some experiences you've had while growing up which am yet to know about

Maybe cos of the way you encourage me
Or of the way you correct me when am wrong
Or how you advice and offer direction when am confused
Or how you just stick around to hear all my trash and faults without condemning
Or maybe just from you presence I enjoy time after time

Maybe because of that voice that resounds with the richest vibrato have ever heard
Or of the pitch with which you express you self with melody and piercing sweetness even though have heard but for a few times
Or of your skills of writing even though you have not harnessed yet enough for me to be caught by it's enchantment

Maybe from the fact that you have come to Know what Living in abundance means
Or maybe you have had you Future secured in the hands of him who designed the end form the beginning
Or maybe because of the way your patiently follow Him all the way, letting him lead you all times
Or the value you place in your relationship with him

Maybe it's just because of the fact that you are who you are
Or of the personality you have
Or from the Beauty that's on your outside
Or the fact that you are golden on the inside

Or maybe I don't know which of this is catch my attention
Or maybe because am not sure what exactly is making me write this
Or feel this way
Or admit this



But I guess am just Hooked up on you.........
If you will rather find me a place to stay among this
Then I decide to just stay on a while Longer
Fearing no other place in this world might offer such awesomeness and awe.

My Pride

He came right to me
Looked me in the eye
Wondering what kind of a monster i had become
At least in his eyes

He questioned my excitement
He questioned my energy,my strength
He wondered why a young man like me would still keep raising his Hopes
He could not comprehend my love
My love for that which had failed repeatedly

He mentioned the Killings in Jos
The epileptic supply of Power
The lack of clean water supply
The kidnappings, the bombings
Militancy
The strained economy
the political Instability
And the the constantly failing electoral system

Then in one sentence he asked
What makes you excited about this?

Why are you so passionate?
Where does your Hope come from?
And what good can still come out of it

Then with a smile I answered

My excitement does not come from that which abounds
Nor from that which prevails
Nor from the past
Nor from the moments

But from the change that has started

From the Future I see every day and night
From the transformation taken place among it's youth
From the Role I am to play in the realisation of a New Nigeria

From this Idraw strength
From this I live
From this I agree:
That come what may; come December 2030, Our dear nation will be the most Favourable nation to live in.
And in those days, Our children will looki at us
And be proud in the 'Hero's their Fathers had being

It's our time to vote for Change
Let's not give up
We will get there
